Food brings a family together. Traditional island food prepared with care, pride, and love is what Kingston ATL 19 is all about.

    From Kingston to Spanish Town

Chef Milton’s story begins in the heart of Jamaica. Born in the vibrant capital of Kingston and raised in Spanish Town, he grew up surrounded by the rich aromas, bustling markets, and deep culinary traditions of the island.

    The Youngest of Eleven

Growing up as the youngest of eleven children—three sisters and eight brothers—mealtime was always a major event. In a household that large, he learned early on that food is more than just sustenance; it is the center of family life, connection, and joy.

    His First Meal at Nine

His culinary journey started out of necessity and curiosity. At just nine years old, on a busy Saturday when his mother was occupied with church and the local market, young Milton took to the kitchen. He prepared his very first meal on his own: traditional curry chicken served with white rice. That single experience—creating flavor from scratch for his family—sparked a lifelong passion.

    A Passion Becomes a Calling

What started as helping out at home quickly grew into a deep respect for Jamaican culinary arts. He spent years mastering traditional dishes, learning the perfect balance of scotch bonnet, pimento, thyme, and scallion that gives real Jamaican food its soul.

    A New Chapter in America

In November 2016, Chef Milton moved to the United States. He brought with him not just his belongings, but the recipes, techniques, and authentic flavors of his homeland. He committed himself fully to the culinary arts, determined to share the true taste of Jamaica with his new community.

    Kingston ATL 19

Today, Kingston ATL 19 is the realization of that dream. It is the continuation of a journey that started with a nine-year-old boy making curry chicken in Spanish Town. Every dish served—from the slow-braised oxtails to the fiery jerk chicken—is a reflection of Chef Milton's dedication to bringing authentic Jamaican flavor and Southern hospitality to Georgia.
